A Close to the GR 34, you’ll find a wide range of cycle routes all along the peninsula, but you can also walk along the sunken paths or along the coast, along the edge of the Suscinio marshes or discover the Duer bird sanctuary.
And the commune’s 65 km of coastline, making it one of the longest in France, offers plenty of other opportunities for bathing or walking.  For lovers of fine stonework, there are many small villages that have retained their character, as well as a number of fine châteaux and manor houses on the peninsula.  We are 10 minutes from the Rhuys Kerver golf course.
You can go swimming, sunbathing or fishing on foot. If you wish, we can suggest walks on the peninsula or further afield, depending on your interests.

The list is long and you won’t see it all in one trip, but here are the main spots not to be missed.

Suscinio Castle

The Château de Suscinio welcomes you all year round.
As well as visiting the castle, you can discover an evocation of the Arthurian imagination and the Knights of the Round Table, as well as the reed bed, fun activities and exhibitions….

The beach at Landrezac

From Beg Inis (Penvins) to Beg Lan (Rohaliguen), one of Europe’s longest unspoilt beaches rolls out its 6km of sand. The beach is supervised in summer, so you can swim in the sea, sunbathe or stroll along the old salt marshes, where you’ll see all sorts of migratory birds as the seasons change.

The Duer marsh in the Gulf of Morbihan plays an important role in the migration of birds, which use it as a staging area, particularly at high tide. Around 160 bird species have been observed on the site. The Duer marsh is equipped with two bird observatories and a path running along the upper part of the marsh.

The port of Crouesty

Today, Port Crouesty is Brittany’s largest yachting harbour, with more than 1,432 berths. If you like shopping, there are plenty of shops in the harbour.
But above all, if you love sailing and boats, you won’t want to miss the nautical events that take place in the port throughout the year: the Grand Prix du Crouesty, the Morbihan Paddle Trophy, not forgetting the Salon Nautique “Le Mille Sabords” held on the weekend of All Saints Day.

The town of Vannes

Vannes is the capital of Morbihan and a city of art and history.
You can visit the old town, its gardens, museums, ramparts and port, not forgetting a visit to “Vannes and his wife”.
Many events await you here, including the Jazz en ville festival, the medieval festivals and the Arvor festivals.

 

 

 

Carnac and the megalithic sites

From the world-famous alignments of Carnac to the cairn of the Petit Mont in Arzon, there are hundreds of megalithic sites that you can visit during your stay – how amazing is that?
The Megaliths of Carnac and the Banks of the Morbihan are in the running for UNESCO World Heritage listing, and we’re eagerly awaiting the UNESCO decision in July 2025.
